Week 8: Jerry note to self I may need to burn this rug

I had an interesting time with this, for the life of me I could not get the camera to auto focus on this. I would take it off of AF and try to manual focus which wasn’t happening either. As I started to contemplate using a different lens I noticed that they had a ‘macro’ comment on the lens which said 1 m given I was significantly closer than 1 m from the rug I quickly backed out and here the photo was.

Week 6: Jerry muses now how the heck did that happen?

When I was younger I would shoot a roll of film, save up some money and get it processed (and buy some more film.) There was a delay between when I took the photo and when I saw the photo. Interesting things would happen and I would wonder ‘now what the heck did I do that?’ Now with digital cameras the feedback is so fast I see the image and realized what I did. This time it was a happy accident but it will be deliberate in the future.

Week 5: Jerry says ‘don’t worry that is green, honest.’

Okay, so here is the deal. I HATE taking pictures where people can ask me what I am doing, srsly it creeps me out. I wanted to do something at work cause Groupon has a lot of green. I brought my camera for a week but I never found the time to go get some photos.

It is also January here in Illinois, so not a lot of green outside… except it is unseasonably warm. So I went for a little walk to see what I could find and I found some moss on a log. Boom Green Accomplished!!

Week 4: Jerry’s waiting onna train

I have a 2 hour each way commute each day. I try to spend as little time as possible in the trainstation. But today I decided to spend a little more time there. I feel very uncomfortable taking pictures in ‘public’ so I took the late train and arrived before it did to minimize the number of people around.

Week 1: Jerry

Me with our Christmas Tree… I probably should have smiled, but I was doing 3 things at once. I am surprised given how low the light was that I am in focus and NOT a blurry blob.
